Two trains collide head-on between Fort & Maradana

Two trains have collided head-on between Colombo Fort and Maradana railway stations this morning (28).

Owing to the incident, commuting trains on the Main Line were disrupted, the Railway Control Room said.

A Kalutara-bound train (No. 741) had collided head-on with another train (No. 412) which had set off to reach Chilaw from Colombo Fort.

No casualties were reported from the incident, a spokesperson from Sri Lanka Railways told Ada Derana.
