Defense Secretary Major General (Rtd) Kamal Gunaratne says he plans to re-launch the ‘Api Wenuwen Api’ fund.

He says the Defense Ministry would be able to provide many services, including completed and half-completed houses for war heroes, through the interest gained by the fund.

Stating that this will be implemented under a proper mechanism, Gunaratne said that he is currently forming plans to carry this out as a great campaign.

There are many parties who are willing to assist this project, he further said.

The Defense Secretary mentioned this addressing the Kalutara District War Heroes Forum held at the Dodangoda Divisional Secretariat Auditorium.
