VIDEO: Vote for Trophy would not ensure Fonseka’s freedom - UNP

Voting for the Trophy(DNA) would not ensure the freedom of Rtd. Gen. Sarath Fonseka, UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayaka told at a press conference today.  He added that only the SLFP and the UNP have the potential to form a government and only a UNP government would ensure the freedom for Fonseka.

 

 

Tissa said this when a journalist queried him whether a vote for the trophy at the upcoming General Election would result in the freedom for Fonseka.

 

 

Tissa also said that the Criminal Investigations Division has questioned him yesterday regarding the Fonseka’s campaign financing. He stated that the CID also inquired as to whether Fonseka appointed any former military personnel for his presidential campaign.
