Popular Sri Lankan singer, songwriter and rapper Yohani de Silva has suffered a minor injury on stage while performing in India.

In a tweet, Yohani said she accidentally hit her face on a guitar during the previous performance. However, Yohani is not in serious condition.

“Show must go on! Had an accident on stage during the last performance. As I was so engrossed in the moment and performing for you I knocked my face on the head of a guitar. I didn’t realize that I bruised my face in the process as well. This is the aftermath.”

Yohani, who began her career as a YouTuber, rose to fame with her recent official cover of the song ‘Menike Mage Hithe’ by Satheeshan Rathnayaka.

The official cover, released by Yohani and Satheeshan on May 22, 2021, went viral surpassing 130 million views on YouTube.

The song soon became an instant hit outside Sri Lanka, especially in South Asian countries including India.

Yohani, along with her nine-member band arrived in India earlier this week to perform at the Supermoon #NowTrending concert on September 30 at Studio XO in Gurugram. She is expected to be in action again tomorrow (October 03) at Heart Cup Café in Hyderabad.
