Body of woman recovered inside abandoned travelling bag

The body of a female has been recovered from a travelling bag abandoned in Mabima, Sapugaskanda today (November 04).

The identity of the deceased woman is yet to be uncovered.

Speaking on the matter Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the travelling bag was found abandoned at a garbage dump in the vicinity of Sapugaskanda oil refinery.

The investigation officers of Kelaniya Division are currently inspecting the area.

Further investigations into the incident are conducted by the Sapugaskanda Police.
