Lanka Coal Company seeks over USD 12 million from Energy Minister

The Chairman of the Lanka Coal Company has requested for a fund of USD 12.32 million from the Minister of Power and Energy for the procurement of coal for power plants.

Accordingly, the funds, amounting to Rs. 4.56 billion, were requested by Shehan Sumanasekera from Minister Kanchana Wijesekera for the purchase of coal required to power the country’s power  plants.
