Six arrested with drugs haul on international waters off southern coast

Sri Lanka Navy has apprehended six individuals in possession of a large stock of narcotics on international waters off the southern coast of Sri Lanka, and their multi-day fishing trawler has been taken into custody, the Navy Spokesman said.

The apprehension has been carried out during a joint operation by Sri Lanka Navy, police and intelligence agencies, according to the Navy.
