CJ names three judge bench for Angulana murder case

A three judge bench has been named to examine the twin murders that took place in Angulana. The three judge bench named by the Chief Justice includes Deepali Wijesundara, Kumudini Wickramasinghe and W. M. P. Waraweva.

 

 

Four respondent Police officers including former OIC of Angulana police V. Newton were produced to the High court by Prison Officials today.

 

 

The date for the trial was set on 19 August by the High court.

 

 

The High court ordered that a report be filed after the fingerprints of all the suspects are obtained and be further detained at the Welikada Prison.
