Ex-Kaduwela Deputy Mayor arrested for attack on social media activist

Former Deputy Mayor of the Kaduwela Municipal Council, Chandika Abeyratne has been arrested for assaulting social media activist Piyath Nikeshala, the police said.

The former SLPP municipal councillor was taken into custody while he was receiving treatment at the Mulleriyawa Hospital, according to police.
