IUSF convenor Wasantha Mudalige arrested

The convenor of Inter-University Students’ Federation (IUSF) Wasantha Mudalige and several other student activists have been arrested by the police.
The arrests were made this evening (May 18) during a protest stage near the University of Kelaniya.
The demonstration had been organized by the student union of the university.
According to reports, the IUSF convenor was taken into custody for obstructing the duties of the police officers at the protest site.
