The Supreme Court has determined that the decision of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) to expel Minister Naseer Ahamed from the party was valid and lawful.

The Environment Minister had filed a petition before the Supreme Court challenging the SLMC’s decision to suspend his party membership.

After taking the petition into consideration, the Supreme Court bench delivered its determination this morning and upheld the SLMC’s decision.
