Southern Expressway blocked due to earthslip

The Southern Expressway has been blocked for vehicular movement due to an earthslip near the 102km Post between Pinnaduwa and Imaduwa interchanges, the Road Development Authority (RDA) announced.

Accordingly, the motorists entering the Southern Expressway from the direction of Galle are advised to exit from the Imaduwa interchange while motorists arriving from the direction of Colombo are requested to exit from Pinnaduwa interchange.

Meanwhile, the Badulla – Colombo main road has also been blocked for traffic at Madola in Opanayake due to an earthslip.
