COPE grills SLC officials: Shocking statement made about injuries of national players

MP Dayasiri Jayasekara made a shocking statement about a certain doctor in the medical team of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), who he claims had administered painkillers to the national team players, resulting in residual injuries.

His remarks came during the meeting of Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) when the cricket governing body’s officials were summoned for inquiries.

MP Jayasekara further alleged that the players had continued to suffer numerous leg injuries after being injected drugs prescribed by the doctor in question.

This medical officer, often referred to as ‘One Shot’, was not a professional sports doctor, he claimed adding that the players have experienced residual injuries after being treated by him.
