Radiological technologists of the Apeksha Hospital have temporarily withdrawn from overtime duties, leaving cancer patients in distress.

The trade union action was launched over the authorities’ move to cut their overtime payments.

It is reported that Apeksha Hospital’s radiological technologists have been on strike since Tuesday (Dec.05).

The Government Radiological Technologists Association said its members would not return to overtime duties at the Apeksha Hospital until they are allowed to discuss the matter with the Secretary of Health Ministry.
