House gutted in fire in Mulleriyawa

A residence in the Kelanimulla area of Mulleriyawa has reportedly been gutted in a fire, Ada Derana learns.

It is reported that a child was inside the house without supervision when the fire erupted; however, no injuries or casualties have been reported.

Prompt action by residents averted a tragedy, as they rushed to the scene and rescued the child before the fire fully engulfed the house. 

Mulleriyawa Police are conducting further investigations into the incident, while the cause of the fire remains unknown.
