Shooting in Modara leaves a man injured

A 51-year-old has sustained injuries after being gunned down in Modara on Tuesday night (Feb.13).
He is currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka (NHSL) in Colombo.
A group of assailants who had arrived in a car had opened fire at the victim near the entrance to a restaurant where he serves as a manager.
The motive behind the shooting was not immediately clear. However, investigations have been launched by Modara Police to apprehend the perpetrators.
The police said the assailants had used a pistol for the shooting.
