Police fire water cannons at protest in Borella; IUSF convenor arrested

Police have fired water cannons at a protest march organised by the Inter-University Students’ Federation (IUSF) in Colombo today (06 March).

Accordingly, water cannons were used in an attempt to disperse the protesting students near the Borella Junction.

Meanwhile, the convenor of the IUSF Madushan Chandrajith was also reportedly arrested by the police during the protest.
