17-year-old girl found murdered at tea estate

The body of a 17-year-old girl has been found at a tea estate on Nanayakkara Mawatha in Elpitiya police division.
Ada Derana reporter said that it is suspected that the girl was killed by slitting her throat.
The deceased girl, Hansika Nadishani, was a resident of Talgahawatta area of Mandakanda, Karandeniya, according to the correspondent.
Reports further revealed that she was forcibly taken away by a group of people who had arrived in a three-wheeler yesterday (08).
No suspects have been arrested so far regarding the incident and the Elpitiya Police is conducting further investigations.
