Underworld gunman and STF member injured in shootout at Ganemulla

A suspect has opened fire at Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel while they were engaged in searching a house in the Ganemulla area.

One of the STF personnel was injured in the incident while the suspect was also injured when police had returned fire. Both have been hospitalised. 

The gunman is suspected to be involved in several previous underworld gang related shootings, police said.
