Transport Ministry DG to oversee duties of Railways GM

The Director General of the Ministry of Transport and Highways S.S. Mudalige has been appointed to oversee the functions and duties of the General Manager position of Sri Lanka Railways.

The position was left vacant with the sudden passing away of the Railways General Manager H.M.K.W. Bandara.

Accordingly, the relevant appointment will be in place until the Cabinet of Ministers appoints a qualified official to the vacant position.
