Underworld figure arrested with fake passport at BIA

An underworld figure from Angoda who was attempting to leave the country using a forged passport has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.

The arrest has been made after the suspect was detected through the recently-installed automatic facial recognition system at the BIA premises, Police Media Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa said.
