Shooting in Ahungalla leaves a man dead

A 54-year-old man was shot dead by two gunmen in Bogahapitiya area of Ahungalla on Wednesday evening (08).

The assailants, who had arrived on a motorcycle, have shot a man at his home before fleeing the scene.

The victim has succumbed to injuries while being rushed to the Balapitiya Base Hospital.

The motive behind the shooting was not immediately clear, according to the police.

Ahungalla Police has initiated investigations to apprehend the perpetrators.
