One person shot dead in Katukurunda

A 38-year-old man has been shot and killed at his residence on Station Road in Katukurunda, Kalutara.
Police said the shooting had been carried out by two gunmen who had arrived on a motorcycle this evening (20).
A assailants had reportedly used a T-56 assault rifle to carry out the shooting.
Meanwhile it is also reported that a 7-year-old girl, the daughter of the deceased, has also been injured in the shooting and is currently receiving treatment.
The deceased, a father of three, was having dinner at home with his three children when the gunmen had entered the house and opened fire before fleeing.
