Aura Lanka chairman Viranjith Thambugala granted bail

The Chairman of Aura Lanka Viranjith Thambugala who was arrested and remanded over allegations of financial fraud has been granted bail.

The Colombo Magistrate’s Court issued this order when the case was taken up today (27), Ada Derana reporter said.

The Chairman of Aura Lanka, businessman Viranjith Thambugala was arrested by police over allegations of financial fraud on May 22 and was remanded until today after being produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court. 

Thanbugala is the Chairman of Aura Lanka Group of Companies and the former owner of the ‘Dambulla Aura’ team in the Lanka Premier League (LPL).
