The district-level voter turnout for the 2024 General Election has exceeded 65 percent in several districts at the close of polling at 4.00 p.m. today (14), according to reports.

Accordingly, the voter turnout percentages of several districts after polling closed are as follows: 

Colombo – 65%

Nuwara Eliya – 68%

Kurunegala – 64%

Baticaloa – 61%

Matara – 64%

Puttalam – 56%

Anuradhapura – 65%

Badulla – 66%

Mannar - 70%

Trincomalee - 67%

Mullaitivu - 63%

Polonnaruwa – 65%

Ratnapura – 65%

Galle – 64%

Jaffna – 69%

Hambantota – 60%

Moneragala – 63%

Kegalle – 65%

Matale – 67%

Gampaha - 66%

Kalutara - 64%

Kandy - 67%

Vavuniya - 65%

Ampara - 62%
