Two dead, 35 injured in bus-van collision at Habarana

Two people have reportedly been killed, and at least 35 others have been injured following a collision between a private bus and a van on the Trincomalee-Habarana road today (01).

According to police, the driver of the van is also among the two deceased. 

Reports indicate that around 50 passengers were inside the bus at the time of the accident. The bus was transporting a group on an excursion.

The injured persons have been admitted to the Dambulla Base Hospital for treatment.
