The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has requested owners of rooftop solar panels to voluntarily switch off their solar inverters until 03.00 p.m. today (30).

The CEB stated that, due to significantly low demand in the system, this measure is necessary to ensure the reliable and stable operation of the national grid during the current emergency situation.
