China announces US$ 1 mln cash donation and RMB 10 mln worth of relief supplies to Sri Lanka

The government of China has announced a donation of USD 1 million in cash for on-going disaster relief operations in Sri Lanka.

The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka said in addition to the cash donation, further RMB 10 million worth of relief supplies have pledged to Sri Lanka.

The Embassy noted that the pledge reaffirms that the Chinese people stand firmly with Sri Lanka.
