Coastal Line’s lower track restored following ‘Sagarika’ train derailment

The Department of Railways has announced that the lower track of the Coastal Line has been restored for regular train operations.

This follows the clearance of the obstruction caused by the derailment of the ‘Sagarika’ train near the Wadduwa Railway Station this morning (24).

Accordingly, the department further stated that the normal train schedule on the Coastal Line will resume from 7:00 p.m. today.
