Female lawyer arrested over Ganemulla Sanjeewa murder case remanded

The Colombo Magistrate’s Court ordered that Attorney-at-Law Thamara Kumari Abeyratne, who has been named as a suspect in the “Ganemulla Sanjeewa” murder case and was detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA), be remanded until May 7.

The suspect was produced before the court by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) following the expiration of her detention order, said Ada Derana reporter.
