Over 4,000 Indians to attend Katchatheevu feast

The annual St. Antony’s church festival at Katchatheevu islet off Sri Lanka would begin on February 28, with 4,336 pilgrims from India getting registered so far to participate in it, Indian officials said today.
The annual feast of the church would being that day with the hoisting of the flag.
Officials said 110 mechanised boats had been kept ready to take devoteees to the island, while two were for security purposes, PTI reported.
The Indian Coast Guard would escort them up to the International Maritime boundary line and then hand over them to their counterparts in Sri Lanka, they said.
All the pilgrims would leave the island on March 1, they said.
