Six arrested in Maradana with sharp objects

The police on Sunday (3) night arrested six people after several sharp objects including knives and poles were found in their defender type jeep.


Police Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunathilaka said that the suspects were arrested at a police checkpoint in Maligawatta.


The arrested people have been identified as residence of Ragama, Anguruwatota, Nagollagama, Galle and Dehiattakandiya areas.


They will be produced before the Colombo Magistrate, today.
