Dullas grilled at Presidential Commission of Inquiry

UPFA Parliamentarian Dullas Alahapperuma has been summoned by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate serious acts of fraud, corruption and abuse of power, state resources, and privileges.

The former Minister is currently being questioned regarding money owed to a state media institute for advertising during the last Presidential Election, the secretary of the commission Lesil de Silva said.

The former Chairman of the media institute was also questioned regarding the matter recently. 

President Maithripala Sirisena appointed the Commission of Inquiry headed by Supreme Court Justice Priyasath Dep to probe corruption and abuse of power during the UPFA government.

The other members of the commission are Supreme Court Judge Anil Gunaratne, High Court Judge Gihan Kulathunge, retired Auditor General Sarathchandra Mayadunne and retired Additional Solicitor General Aiyathurei Gnanadasan.
