Thirteen police OICs transferred

Thirteen officers-in-charge (OICs) of police stations have been transferred with immediate effect on exigencies of service. 

Nittambuwa HQI A.A.W.J.S. Abeykoon has been transferred to serve in Minister Kabir Hashim’s security detail while Padukka OIC K.B.K. Perera has been transferred to normal duty in Colombo. 

Manipay OIC R.A.D.R. Mahesh has been transferred to serve as the new OIC of Padukka and Elpitiya OIC H.G.N. Devapriya has been transferred to Manipay.

Former Thanamalwila OIC K.V.C. Deepal has been appointed as the new Giribawa OIC while U.K.N. Jayaweera, who served as Giribawa OIC, has been transferred to Colombo for normal duty. 

C.S. Panawala, who served in the IGP’s directives and information division, has been appointed as the new OIC of Thanamalwila. 

Hambegamuwa OIC K.M.A.K. Konara has been transferred to Puttalam Division for normal duty while Kalutara Division’s K.G.P. Silva has been appointed as the new Hambegamuwa OIC. 

L.A.D. Rathnaweera has been transferred from Horowpathana to serve as the Passara OIC.

Sapugaskanda OIC P.S.R. Sanjeewa has been transferred to the Horowpathana police station to serve as the new OIC. 

Hasalaka OIC K.M.R.S.B. Kumarasekara has been appointed as the new Sapugaskanda OIC while P.M. Ratnayake has been transferred from Passara to Hasalaka to serve as OIC.
