Mahinda Amaraweera appointed UPFA General Secretary

Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has been appointed as the General Secretary of the United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA), a source said.


Amaraweera was with the former President earlier, but had switched over to Maithripala Sirisena after the latter won the January 8 Presidential election and took over the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLF)) and the UPFA, of which the SLFP is part.
