Police arrest 12 Indians for visa violations

Twelve Indian nationals including 7 women have been arrested in Kattankudy for engaging in trading after entering the country on tourist visas. 

Police said that the suspects have been staying while violating immigration and emigration laws and that they were engaged in the trade of medicine. 

They are to be produced at the Batticaloa Magistrate’ Court today while Kattankudy Police is conducting further investigations.
