Then President Chandrika Kumarathunga has lost her mind as a result of being a victim of 1999 Town Hall bomb blast, Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader MP Udaya Gammanpila says.

He made the observation at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (21).

Gammanpila also accused the then President of speaking ‘nonsense’ about the Joint Opposition and the previous Government. “She speaks whatever is in her mind without thinking twice. This may be a symptom of being a victim of the bomb blast,” he added.

Addressing an event in Kelaniya, former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga earlier had said that stealing was the main policy and philosophy of the previous government under Mahinda Rajapaksa and conceded that corrupt individuals still occupy certain sections of the incumbent administration.

Gammanpila also stressed that a Presidential Committee should be appointed to probe the sudden death of Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha thero.
