The former President has no ethical right to make blames about his security, former Army chief and Minister Sarath Fonseka claims.
The observation was made while speaking at the Parliament this afternoon (03).
He pointed out he was not given any security after the Presidential Election 2010. “Just after the poll, they withdrew my entire security,” Fonseka claimed.
The Field Marshal also went on to say at the moment he is provided with a security detail of 15 persons and security given to the former President is more than sufficient.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe said “It is not the military personnel, but police that provide security for me and the President.” The PM also said the former President has been given the option of choosing a suitable police personnel for his security.
