Bodies of mother, son found in Karandeniya

The bodies of a mother and her son have been found in Karandeniya area in Egodawela this morning (12), Ada Derana reporter said.


The body of the son who was reportedly a mentally challenged person was found in Egodawela cannel, while the body of the 60-year-old mother was also recovered from a forest area nearby.


The police suspect that the victims may have committed suicide.


The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Karandeniya hospital pending an autopsy.
