Do not replace my military security - Gotabaya

Any official invitation has not been made by anyone so far to accept the Deputy Leader post of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa said.

The observation was made while responding to media personnel after arriving at the Court to give evidence in connection with the 2006 suicide bomb blast on him.

Rajapaksa also said he requests the Defence Secretary not to replace his military security with police personnel due to life threats.  I heard that they going to replace my security, he added.

He pointed out former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and him face life threats due to strict decisions they got in their bid to eliminate the terrorism.
