There is a clash of opinions about the appointment of the new CB Governor within the Joint Opposition, State Minister Dilan Perera asserts.

The observation was made at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (07).

He pointed out some members of the Joint Opposition back the decision though MPs Udaya Gammanpila and Wimal Weerawansa were against the new appointment. “There is a clash of opinions about the activities of the Constitutional Council as well,” he added.

While responding to media personnel, Perera also added there is a potential of he being selected as a candidate of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party to represent the Presidential Election from Badulla district with the consent of former Presidents Mahinda Rajapaksa, Chandrika Kumaratunga and the President.
