Gammanpila admires President’s views on foreign judges

July 11, 2016   05:05 pm

Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) leader MP Udaya Gammanpila has admired the President over his view not to allow any foreign court, judge or organization to interfere into the internal administration and judiciary in the country in future too.

The observation was made while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (11).

“We should appreciate this fact,” Gammanpila added.

However, he accused Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera of attempting to go beyond the powers of President Maithripala Sirisena by calming that foreign court, judge or organization would be interfered.

“Therefore, either the Foreign Minister should step down from his post or the President should take a decision about him,” he added.
