Protest march of the Joint Opposition commences

The protest march of the Joint Opposition was commenced from Peradeniya a short while ago on Thursday (28) morning.


Thousands of people were seen engaged in the march which started from near the bridge in Peradeniya along the Colombo-Kandy road, Ada Derana reporter said.


“The government attempted to send a message saying that the protest march has been cancelled, because they are afraid of our move,” MP Namal Rajapaksa told reporters.


He pointed out some people also attempted to say that the protest march has been cancelled through a court order.
