Former TNA MP Piyasena remanded

Former Parliamentarian P.H. Piyasena who was arrested by the Colombo Crime Division (CCD), has been remanded until 02 August, Ada Derana reporter said.


The former MP was remanded after being produced before the Fort Magistrate a short while ago on Friday (29).


He was arrested after a statement was recorded from him over the allegation of misusing vehicles belonging to the government this morning. 


Piyasena elected to the Parliament at the General Election in 2010 who contested under the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) ticket.
