Election Chief vows LG polls at earliest possible

The tasks related to delimitation review is almost complete and hopefully it would be concluded by September 15, Chairman of the Election Commission Mahinda Deshapriya said.

The observation was made while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (06).

He also added that the electoral register of Sri Lanka has been posted online enabling voters to check the latest electoral register.

The 2016 electoral register is now available on the website – www.slelections.gov.lk.

The register will also be displayed in Grama Niladhari, Provincial Secretariat, District Election Secretariat offices, Local Government establishment and post offices Island wide.
