Around 100 firearms found buried in Matale

Police today said that around 100 decaying firearms have been found buried in the Matale District Secretariat premises.
The discovery was made by workers engaged in excavations for construction purposes near the district secretariat.
Matale Police has launched an investigation into the discovery which is believed to be remnants of a stock of buried weapons.
