Galle Cricket Association Chairman killing: suspects arrested

Three individuals including the main suspect have been arrested in connection with the murder of Galle Cricket Association Chairman Halambage Premasiri.

 


The suspects were arrested by a policemen team attached to the Ambalangoda police last evening.

 


A T-56 firearm, a 9mm pistol and live ammunition have also been seized from the possession of the suspects, an official said. They will be produced before the Ambalangoda Magistrate today.

 


Premasiri was shot and killed by an unidentified gunman in the Manimulla area in Ambalangoda on 12 August.
