UPFA MP Udaya Gammanpila says that President Maithripala Sirisena’s recent delegation to the United States, to take part in the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly, included 73 people and that only the “palace dog” was missing.

Addressing the ‘Joint Opposition’ public rally in Ratnapura today (8), the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) leader said that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s “golden age” will be in the near future.

He claimed that President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe are now competing to travel around the world because they will have to go home defeated if an election is held.

Gammanpila stated that when one of them is leaving the country the other is arriving, and vice versa.

He said that only the “palace dog” was not part of the recent visit to the US and that when the President returned from there, the PM went to New Zealand. When he came back, the President flew to Thailand and now the Prime Minister is preparing to visit Belgium when the President returns, he charged.
