Some proposals in the Budget 2017 are eyeing to privatize the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), the Joint Opposition asserts.

The observation was made by MP Bandula Gunawardena while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (13).

He also pointed out there is a move to transfer the authority of the national payment system to three private organizations, without the monitoring of the CBSL.
