Three killed following accident in Vavuniya

Three persons were killed and one injured following an accident between a container and a cab in Vavuniya on Tuesday, Ada Derana reporter said.


The accident occurred in the wee hours of this morning near the Boo Oya bridge in Irattaperiyakulam on A-9 road.


The injured person who is a 30-year-old from Dehiwala has been admitted to the Vavuniya hospital for treatments. The remains of the deseased are also kept at the same hospital pending autopsy. 


The driver of the container was arrested and he will be produced in the Court today, police said.
